Opposites might attract, but that doesn?t mean they?ll be able to have a successful relationship. Let?s just take a look at how it all panned out last night for grumpy old curmudgeon--I say that affectionately, of course--Nick and his wild and crazy, sex-in-a-sleigh-at-a-crowded-party-loving lady Angie on last night?s New Girl, shall we? SPOILER ALERT: It doesn't.
Although Nick claimed the two weren?t technically dating, describing their relationship as ?pure anarchy, in like a sexy cool way,? they were close enough to go away for a weekend in a cabin with Jess and her New Guy, Dr. Sam. But after a noisy romp started the weekend off in a good way for Nick and Angie I was more into Jess and Sam's sexy Boggle game myself though), it turned a little nutso when Angie busted out some guns from a locked closet with a wild-eyed "Where were these when we were having sex?":
Uh, yikes.
If your attempt to keep up with your significant other results in you making this face, it's maybe too much for you:

But the kicker was when Angie thought that when Nick headed upstairs to check on a absinthe-tripping Jess, it was actually code that they should partner swap so she hopped on Sam's lap and attempted to seduce him. Nick eventually broke down and confessed to Angie that he has feelings for her and that he needed her take it down a notch with the pube doodles on his armpits (that happened) and such, which seems reasonable. She agreed, but took off in the middle of the night with half his stuff. So it seems like Nick is going to have to find someone a little more on his slow speed to eat potato salad out of the garbage with.
Die hard Jess and Nick fans, don't get excited that it's one step closer to their relationship: things with Jess and the doc turned out just fine at the cabin (although personally, I don't think Sam deserves some kind of praise for NOT cheating on his girlfriend with a stripper. If that's the most romantic gesture of the year, I give up already.) In fact, over on Obsessed, our own Megan thinks they may be in it for the long haul with no hope for a roommate hookup. Duh duh duh! But whether it's Jess or not, I think we all knew Nick would eventually need to find someone a little less wild than Angie. Seriously, a simple conversation with her takes more energy than Nick usually expends in a week.
